If you are looking for books to read to improve your marriage then just scroll on down! As a marriage and family therapist, I find that these are great reads for relationships & marriages whether you are in one or not. If you are planning to be married one day or living with someone then first, check out this list of books to read before getting married and then move onto this list of books to read to create a better marriage (a couple books do show up on both lists… because they are such good books on relationships!)
Now I could put a little excerpt of each book for you to read but I am someone that when I click on a Pin or link to see suggestions or lists… I really just want to see the suggestions or lists. I’m not one that wants to read all of the fluff so I try to limit my fluff as much as I can.
So if want to read more about the book then you can look up the book title or click on the link that will take you to Amazon. Please note, these are affiliate links.
If you are like me, you still like reading actual physical books but a lot of these you can download to read electronically or audiobook.
Here are 10 books on how to improve marriage and make your better better, stronger and healthier.
Let’s start with our favorite books by Dr. John Gottman. He is one of the country’s greatest relationship researcher & marriage expert. Through Dr. Gottman we have learned massive amounts of quality research for improving marriages, strengthening relationships and creating healthier families.
Moving onto one of my favorite books for improving marriages…
These are just some of my favorite books on marriage and improving marriages. I would love to know what some of your favorites are! Stay tuned and I will create a list with some not so traditional books I love about marriage. Not so traditional meaning… most of us have heard of “The Seven Principles of Making Marriage Work” or “The 5 Love Languages” and almost any marriage therapist will suggest these ones to you but I have found some others that I enjoy that probably wouldn’t be on every marriage therapists book list.
